June 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has received second national communications from Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with their obligations under the UNFCCC.

Kazakhstan’s Second National Communication reflects the current climate change situation impacting Kazakhstan and its prognosis for the future, as well as measures proposed for adaptation and reduction of GHG emissions. The Second National Communication of the Kyrgyz Republic demonstrates the sustainability of development priorities, and highlights vulnerability and adaptation measures and climate change mitigation, among other issues.
