25 November 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a document (FCCC/SBI/2009/INF.10) containing tabulated information on the status of receipt of contributions to the UNFCCC trust funds as of 15 November 2009. The status of indicative contributions to the Kyoto Protocol is reported separately from the status of contributions to the Convention.
Table 1 lists all 192 parties to the Convention and shows the expected and received contributions during 2009 and the outstanding balances due to the Trust Fund for the Core Budget of the UNFCCC. One hundred and six parties have paid their contributions for 2009, amounting to 84% of the indicative contributions for this year. Table 2 groups parties according to their status of contributions paid to the core budget for the Convention. Table 3 lists all 184 parties to the Kyoto Protocol and shows the expected and received contributions during 2009 and the outstanding balances. Ninety-five parties have paid their contribution for 2009, representing 75% of the indicative contributions for this year. Table 4 lists parties in six groups according to their status of contributions paid to the core budget for the Kyoto Protocol. Table 5 lists additional voluntary contributions to the international transaction log of the UNFCCC. The status of payment of fees for the international transaction log is shown in table 6. As of 15 November, 96% of the fees for 2009, 97% for 2008 and 77% for 2007 have been paid. Table 7 reflects voluntary contributions received in the biennium 2008-2009 to the Trust Fund for Supplementary Activities, including fees related to joint implementation (JI), which amounts to US$44.3 million and US$1.1 million, respectively. Table 8 shows voluntary contributions to the Trust Fund for Participation in the UNFCCC process, amounting to US$15.5 million. Table 9 lists voluntary contributions amounting to US$365,000 paid into the Trust Fund for the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and US$71.5 million in CDM-related fees. Table 10 provides information on a number of currently active projects and events funded from the Trust Fund for Supplementary Activities.
