UNFCCC Reports on Structured Expert Dialogue on 2013-2015 Review

The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a report on the structured expert dialogue (SED) on the 2013-2015 review for 2014 providing a summary of the work undertaken by the SED from December 2013 to August 2014 for consideration at the 20th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 20) to be held in Lima, Peru, from 1-12 December 2014.

UNFCCC22 September 2014: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a report on the structured expert dialogue (SED) on the 2013-2015 review for 2014, providing a summary of the work undertaken by the SED from December 2013 to August 2014 for consideration at the 20th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 20) to be held in Lima, Peru, from 1-12 December 2014.

The report (FCCC/SB/2014/1) focuses on the progress made in the consideration of the input to the review, including of the contributions of Working Groups II and III to the Fifth Assessment Report (AR 5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as well as of its Synthesis Report (SYR).

The report addresses, inter alia: organizational and procedural matters; and work undertaken in the reporting period, including the second (SED 2), third (SED 3) and the upcoming fourth (SED 4) meetings of the SED, and any additional meetings.

It is recommended that, in their general consideration of the progress under the 2013-2015 Review, the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) consider this report, along with the outcomes of SED 4 to be held during SBSTA 41 and SBI 41.
