UNFCCC Reports on Matching NAMA with Support

The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a report on the extent of the matching of nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) with financial, technical and capacity-building support (FCCC/SBI/2014/INF.24).

UNFCCC14 November 2014: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a report on the extent of the matching of nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) with financial, technical and capacity-building support (FCCC/SBI/2014/INF.24). The document provides information on the extent of the matching of NAMAs with financial, technical and capacity-building support under the NAMA registry.

The report also outlines the sources of support available under the registry, reporting that as at 6 November 2014, 14 entries on support had been recorded in the registry, nine of which are available for the preparation of NAMAs, four for the implementation of NAMAs, and one for both preparation and implementation.

The report further highlights the Secretariat’s activities to engage with and support parties and entities to increase their use of the registry and facilitate the matching of NAMAs with financial, technical and capacity-building support. The annex to the report contains an analysis of information relating to the extent of the matching, the support available and the engagement with entities.
