UNFCCC Releases Submissions on Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Non-Annex I Parties

The UNFCCC Secretariat has released 14 submissions from Parties containing their views on the term and mandate of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention and the need for continuation of the group.

The submissions will be reviewed by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) at its 36th session.

23 April 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released 14 submissions from Parties containing their views on the term and mandate of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (non-Annex I Parties) and the need for continuation of the group (FCCC/SBI/2012/MISC.6).

The submissions are from: Angola; Brazil; Chile; Denmark and the European Commission, on behalf of the EU; the Gambia on behalf of the least developed countries (LDCs); Ghana; Japan; Malaysia; Nauru, on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS); New Zealand; Saudi Arabia; Swaziland, on behalf of the African States; Switzerland; and Uzbekistan.

The submissions will be reviewed by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) at its 36th session, scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany, from 14-25 May 2012. [The Submissions]
