UNFCCC Releases SBI 32 Report

25 August 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the report of the 32nd session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 32), held in Bonn, Germany, from 31 May-9 June 2010 (FCCC/SBI/2010/10).

During the meeting, the SBI considered, inter alia: national communications and greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory data from parties included in Annex I to the Convention; national communications from parties not included in Annex I to the Convention; financial mechanism of the Convention; Article 6 of the Convention; matters relating to Article 4, paragraphs 8 and 9, of the Convention; development and transfer of technologies; capacity-building under the Convention; capacity-building under the Kyoto Protocol; review of the Adaptation Fund; matters relating to Article 3, paragraph 14, of the Kyoto Protocol; annual compilation and accounting report for Annex B parties under the Kyoto Protocol; amendment of the Kyoto Protocol in respect of procedures and mechanisms relating to compliance; proposal from Kazakhstan to amend Annex B to the Kyoto Protocol; arrangements for intergovernmental meetings; and administrative, financial and institutional matters.

The Secretariat has also released an addendum draft decision forwarded for adoption by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP) relating to the methodology for the collection of international transaction log fees in the biennium 2012–2013.
