UNFCCC Releases Parties’ Views on Various Approaches

The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a miscellaneous document containing the views of parties in ten submissions on matters referred to in paragraphs 44-47 of decision 1/CP.18, including information, experience and good practice relevant to the design and operation of various approaches (FCCC/SBSTA/2013/MISC.11).

UNFCCC7 May 2013: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a miscellaneous document containing the views of parties in ten submissions on matters referred to in paragraphs 44-47 of decision 1/CP.18, including information, experience and good practice relevant to the design and operation of various approaches on market and non-market mechanisms(FCCC/SBSTA/2013/MISC.11).

Submissions were presented by the following parties: Bangladesh, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, Guyana, Honduras, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Panama and Papua New Guinea; Bolivia; Burundi, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Rwanda and São Tomé and Príncipe; Indonesia; Ireland for the EU; Japan; Nauru for the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS); Norway; Saudi Arabia; and South Africa.

Submissions were presented upon an invitation by the 18th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 18) for parties to submit their views on a Framework for Various Approaches (FVA) by 25 March 2013. [Publication: Miscellaneous document with Parties Views’ on Various Approaches]
