UNFCCC Releases Parties’ Submissions on the GCF, the GEF and Gender

The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the submissions by parties on the Green Climate Fund (GCF), on the Global Environment Facility (GEF), and on the gender balance goal.

The submissions will be considered by the Conference of the Parties at its 19th session (COP 19) to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 11-22 November 2013.

UNFCCC18 September 2013: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the submissions by parties on the Green Climate Fund (GCF), on the Global Environment Facility (GEF), and on the gender balance goal. The submissions will be considered by the Conference of the Parties at its 19th session (COP 19) to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 11-22 November 2013.

The UNFCCC Secretariat has released submissions by parties containing their views and recommendations on elements to be taken into account in developing guidance to the GCF (FCCC/CP/2013/MISC.3). The submissions are from: Bangladesh, Belize, Chad, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, Gabon, Guyana, Honduras, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone and Uganda; Brazil; Bolivia; Lithuania and the European Commission on behalf of the EU and its member States; and Vanuatu.

The Secretariat has also released submissions by parties containing their views and recommendations on elements to be taken into account in developing guidance to the GEF (FCCC/CP/2013/MISC.4). The submissions are from: Bangladesh, Belize, Chad, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, Gabon, Guyana, Honduras, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone and Uganda ; Brazil ; Bolivia; Lithuania and the European Commission on behalf of the EU and its member States; and Vanuatu.

The submissions by parties on options and ways to advance the gender balance goal (FCCC/CP/2013/MISC.2). The submissions are from: Afghanistan; Burundi; Ghana; Iceland; India; Jordan; Kenya; Lithuania and the European Commission on behalf of the EU and its member States; Liberia; Malawi; Marshall Islands; Mozambique; Sudan; Tajikistan; the US; and Vanuatu.
