UNFCCC Releases Note on Funding Travel and Participation in Meetings

The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a note on the policy and budgetary implications of funding travel and participation in meetings of the constituted bodies of all members and alternate members, which focuses on the constituted bodies under both the Convention and its Kyoto Protocol, namely: the Executive Board of the CDM; JISC; the Compliance Committee; the Technology Executive Committee (TEC); the Adaptation Committee; and the Standing Committee on Finance.

17 April 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a note containing a report on the policy and budgetary implications of funding travel and participation in meetings of the constituted bodies of all members and alternate members (FCCC/SBI/2012/INF.1).

The report focuses on the constituted bodies under both the Convention and its Kyoto Protocol, namely: the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM); the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (JISC); the Compliance Committee; the Technology Executive Committee (TEC); the Adaptation Committee; and the Standing Committee on Finance.

The note will be considered by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) at its 36th session, scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany, from 14-25 May 2012. [Note on Funding for Travel]
