UNFCCC Releases Bolivia and Ecuador’s Submissions on a Framework for Various Approaches

The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the submissions from Bolivia and Ecuador containing their views on a framework for various approaches to be considered by the AWG-LCA at its 15th session, under its agenda item on the development of proposals to enhance the cost-effectiveness of, and to promote, mitigation actions, bearing in mind different circumstances of developed and developing countries.

UNFCCC7 May 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the submissions from Bolivia and Ecuador containing their views on a framework for various approaches (FCCC/AWGLCA/2012/MISC.4/Add.1). The submissions relate to the agenda item of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA) on the development of proposals to enhance the cost-effectiveness of, and to promote, mitigation actions, bearing in mind different circumstances of developed and developing countries.

The submissions are in addition to the 12 submissions contained in document FCCC/AWGLCA/2012/MISC.4. The UNFCCC Secretariat has also received a translation into French of a previous submission from Bangladesh, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Congo, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, Gabon, Ghana, Guyana, Honduras, Kenya, Pakistan, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Suriname and Uganda.

The submissions will be considered by the AWG-LCA at its 15th session, scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany, from 15-24 May 2012. [Submissions on a Framework for Various Approaches]
