The provisional agenda also contains annotations, including on the required action under each agenda item. The ADP will be invited to advance discussions on matters related to paragraphs 2-6 (2015 agreement), on the basis of, inter alia, the submissions of parties and organizations presented by 1 March 2013 on views and proposals on matters related to the ADP work, including mitigation, adaptation, finance, technology development and transfer. The submissions address aspects that include: the application of the Convention principles; the experiences and lessons learned from other processes under the Convention; the scope, structure and design of the 2015 agreement; and ways of defining and reflecting enhanced action.

On matters related to paragraphs 7 and 8 (mitigation ambition), the ADP will be invited to initiate discussions to identify and explore options for a range of actions that can close the pre-2020 ambition gap, with a view to identifying further activities for its plan of work in 2014.
