UNFCCC Publishes Written Inputs to AWG-LCA 14

Parties submitted 66 written inputs related to the work of the contact group on agenda items 3, 4, 5 and 6, which was established at the second part of the 14th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA 14).

18 July 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published 66 written inputs (FCCC/AWGLCA/2011/MISC.8) from parties at the second part of the 14th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA 14).

Parties submitted written inputs related to the work of the contact group on agenda items 3, 4, 5 and 6, which was established at the second part of the session, which took place in Bonn, Germany, from 7-17 June 2011. Agenda item 3 concerns preparation of a comprehensive and balanced outcome to be presented to the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 17) for adoption to enable the full, effective and sustained implementation of the Convention through long-term cooperative action now, up to and beyond 2012, pursuant to the results of COP 13 and COP 16 and recognizing that the work of the AWG-LCA includes both implementation tasks and issues that are still to be concluded. Item 4 is on further definition of its scope and development of its modalities. Item 5 regards continued discussion of legal options with the aim of completing an agreed outcome based on decision 1/CP.13, the work done at COP 16 and proposals made by parties under Article 17 of the Convention. Item 6 is on other matters. The AWG-LCA requested the Secretariat to compile these written inputs into a miscellaneous document.
