UNFCCC Publishes Synthesis of Views on Review of JI Guidelines

The report synthesizes the submissions made in response to a call by the COP/MOP for submissions on the revision of the JI guidelines.

Five submissions were received from parties, one from an intergovernmental organization and two from admitted observer organizations.

UNFCCC25 July 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a synthesis report of the views of parties, and intergovernmental and observer organizations on the revision of the Joint Implementation (JI) guidelines (FCCC/KP/CMP/2012/INF.1).

The report synthesizes: the five submissions received from Ukraine, New Zealand, Denmark on behalf of the EU and its member States, Nauru on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), and the Gambia on behalf of the least developed countries (LDCs); the submission from the World Bank; and the two submissions from the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and the Project Developer Forum, and Climate Action Network International. These submissions were made in response to a call by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP) for submissions on the revision of the JI guidelines.
