story highlights

The UNFCCC Secretariat has published revised documents containing: the SBI provisional agenda; a progress report on the work of CGE on non-Annex I national communications; and the status of submission and review of fifth national communications.

6 June 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published several revised documents, which will be considered during the 34th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 34), including a revised provisional agenda (FCCC/SBI/2011/1/Rev.1) for SBI 34, a revised progress report (FCCC/SBI 2011/5Rev.1) on the work of the Consultative Group of Experts (CGE) on national communications from parties not included in Annex I to the Convention, and a revised document (FCCC/SBI/2011/INF.6/ Rev.1) on the status of submission and review of fifth national communications.

The revised note by the Secretariat on the progress report on the work of the CGE on national communications from parties not included in Annex I to the Convention summarizes the outcome of the discussions of the CGE with regard to the implementation of its mandate relating to the provision of technical assistance to non-Annex I parties for the preparation of their national communications.

The revised note by the Secretariat on the status of submission and review of fifth national communication indicates that the document provides information on the status of submission and review of fifth national communications (NC5s) under the Convention and its Kyoto Protocol from parties included in Annex I to the Convention (Annex I parties) as of 3 June 2011.
