UNFCCC Publishes REDD+ Submission from Singapore

The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a submission from Singapore on general principles relating to safeguards, forest reference (emission) levels and measuring, reporting and verification (MRV) with regards to REDD+.

10 November 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published an addendum (FCCC/SBSTA/2011/MISC.7/Add.1) to views on methodological guidance for activities relating to reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries (REDD+).

The document contains a submission from Singapore on general principles relating to safeguards, forest reference (emission) levels and measuring, reporting and verification (MRV) with regards to REDD+. The submission will be considered by the 35th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), which will be held in Durban, South Africa, from 28 November-3 December 2011.
