UNFCCC Publishes Non-Annex I NAMAs

The UNFCCC has published developing country NAMAs and associated context, conditions and considerations, including support required for their preparation and implementation.

18 March 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a compilation (FCCC/AWGLCA/2011/INF.1) of information on nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) to be implemented by Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention.

The Document also includes information on the related context, conditions and considerations associated with these mitigation actions, including with regard to the support required for their preparation and implementation. NAMAs from the following countries are included: Afghanistan, Algeria, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Benin, Bhutan, Botswana, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Chile, China, Colombia, Republic of Congo, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Gabon, Georgia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Madagascar, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mauritania, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Republic of Korea, Republic of Moldova, San Marino, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, Tajikistan, Macedonia, Togo and Tunisia.
