UNFCCC Publishes Further Documents for Bonn Session

The UNFCCC Secretariat has published documents to be considered by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) on: work programme on loss and damage; proposed programme budget for the biennium 2012-2013; and work programme and proposed budget for the international transaction log (ITL).

19 April 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published additional documents in preparation for the 34th session the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), which will take place in Bonn, Germany, from 6-16 June 2011, in conjunction with the 34th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), as well as sessions of the Ad Hoc Working Groups.

Forty-one submissions (FCCC/SBI/2011/MISC.1) on views and information on elements to be included in the work programme on loss and damage have been received from: Australia, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, China, Ethiopia, Grenada on behalf of AOSIS, Hungary on behalf of the EU, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Turkey, US, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the International Labour Office (ILO), the Secretariat of the Global Climate Observing System, the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN/ISDR), the UN University (UNU), the World Bank and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). These submissions will be considered by the SBI.

The UNFCCC Secretariat has also published the proposed programme budget for the biennium 2012-2013 (FCCC/SBI/2011/2) for consideration of the SBI. The addendum (FCCC/SBI/2011/2/Add.3) provides details of the work programme and proposed budget for the international transaction log for the biennium 2012-2013, for consideration by SBI 34.
