18 March 2010: The UNFCC has published the report (FCCC/SBI/2010/2) on the European regional workshop on Article 6 of the Convention, which was held in Stockholm, Sweden, from 18 -20 May 2009.
During the workshop, participants shared experiences and good practices in developing and implementing national education and outreach programmes and activities, and discussed options and strategies for strengthening and expanding these activities, in particular to support the implementation of a new climate change agreement that may have been reached in Copenhagen in December 2009. Participants recommended a list of issues that could be considered in promoting and supporting further the implementation of Article 6 and the New Delhi work programme in the European region. This report will be considered by the 32nd session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), to be held from 31 May-11 June 2010, in Bonn, Germany. [Workshop Report]
