30 May 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published further documents that will be considered during the upcoming 34th sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 34) and the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 34) in Bonn, Germany, from 6-16 June 2011.

Under SBSTA, the draft annotated revised UNFCCC Annex I Reporting Guidelines (SBSTA/2011/INF.4) have been published in response to a request made by SBSTA 32. The annotated draft of the revised UNFCCC Annex I reporting guidelines is based on Parties’ submissions under the work programme to revise the UNFCCC Annex I reporting guidelines under the SBSTA, and on guidance provided by Parties at SBSTA 33 and workshop participants during the third workshop under the work programme. The Secretariat, in response to a request by SBSTA 32, prepared an annotated draft of the UNFCCC Annex I reporting guidelines for consideration by participants in the workshop held in Bonn, Germany, on 24-25 March 2011. The annotated draft of the revised UNFCCC Annex I reporting guidelines will be considered by SBSTA 34.

A document on information relevant to emissions from fuel used for international aviation and maritime transport (FCCC/SBSTA/2011/MISC.5) also has been published. SBSTA 33 invited Secretariats of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to report, at future sessions of the SBSTA, on relevant work on emissions from fuel used for international aviation and maritime transport. Submissions from ICAO and IMO have been received.

Also in Bonn, the second part of the 14th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA) and the second part of the 16th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP) will take place, from 7-17 June 2011.

Under the AWG-LCA, the UNFCCC Secretariat has published an addendum consisting of two submissions from Grenada, on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), and the Republic of Korea on views on the items relating to a work programme for the development of modalities and guidelines listed in decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 46.
