UNFCCC Publishes AWG-LCA Report

The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report of the first and second parts of the 14th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA).

UNFCCC9 August 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report (FCCC/AWGLCA/2011/9) of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA), for the first and second parts of its 14th session, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 5-8 April 2011, and in Bonn, Germany, from 7-17 June 2011.

The report includes sections on: opening of the session; organizational matters; preparation of a comprehensive and balanced outcome to be presented to the Conference of the Parties (COP) for adoption at its 17th session to enable the full, effective and sustained implementation of the Convention through long-term cooperative action now, up to and beyond 2012, pursuant to the results of the 13th and 16th sessions of the COP, recognizing that the work of the AWG-LCA includes both implementation tasks and issues that are still to be concluded; review, further definition of its scope and development of its modalities; continued discussions of legal options; other matters; additional matters; report on the first and second parts of the sessions; and suspension of the session.
