9 May 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the submissions from Annex I Parties listed in annex 1 to Decision 1/CMP.7, containing information on their quantified emission limitation or reduction objectives (QELROs) for the second Kyoto Protocol commitment period (FCCC/KP/AWG/2012/MISC.1).

The submissions were made in response to a request in Decision 1/CMP.7 by the seventh session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 7) for Annex I Parties listed in annex 1 to the decision, to submit information on their QELROs for the Kyoto Protocol second commitment period.

Seven submissions have been received, from Australia, Croatia, Denmark and the European Commission on behalf of the EU and its Member States, New Zealand, Norway, Kazakhstan and Switzerland. These submissions will be considered by the 17th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP), which will take place from 14-25 May 2012, in Bonn, Germany.
