UNFCCC2 August 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has launched the Designated National Authority (DNA) Help Desk, which aims to help DNAs in under-represented regions and countries to improve their level of participation in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

The Help Desk is available to DNAs in Africa, least developed countries (LDCs), small island developing States (SIDS) and countries with ten or fewer registered CDM projects as of 31 December 2010. It is designed to provide DNAs with support, advice or clarifications in three specific areas: standardized baselines; grid emission factors; and additionality of microscale project activities.

DNAs can also submit requests on behalf of project participants and designated operational entities (DOEs). [UNFCCC Press Release] [DNA Help Desk Webpage]
