UNFCCC Calls for Proposals for Hosting the Climate Technology Centre

Interested organizations are invited to submit a proposal to host the Climate Technology Centre (CTN) by 16 March 2012.

The call is issued in response to a COP 17 decision to launch the selection process for the host of the CTN, in order to make the Technology Mechanism fully operational in 2012.

16 January 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a call for proposals (CFP 2012-S1) for hosting the Climate Technology Centre (CTN). The call is issued in response to a decision of the Conference of the Parties at its 17th session (COP 17) to launch the selection process for the host of the CTN, in order to make the Technology Mechanism fully operational in 2012.

The following annexes are also included: terms of reference of the CTC and Network; information required to be included in the proposal; template for cost sheet; sample requests; template for statement of work of past activities; criteria and methodology to be used to evaluate and select the host of the CTC; terms and conditions for submitting a proposal; declaration by proponent and disclosure requirement; letter of intent to submit a proposal; and profile form.
