2 August 2012: The Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has released draft forms for nomination and periodic review of biosphere reserves, as updated by the electronic working group. Comments and suggestions on the draft forms are invited until 30 October 2012.

The forms were updated per a decision of the MAB International Co-ordinating Council at its 24th session, which took place from 9-13 July 2012. The comments should be sent to mab@unesco.org, and will be examined by the MAB International co-coordinating Council Bureau for final approval.
