UNESCO-IHE Launches Open Courseware Platform

The Institute for Water Education of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO-IHE) launched an Open Courseware platform during Open Education Week to host freely-accessible course materials.

Currently hosting three courses – Hydrology and Hydraulics, Urban Drainage and Sewerage, and Ecological Sanitation – the Institute aims to present all of its courses on the Open Courseware platform by 2017.

UNESCO-IHE11 March 2013: The Institute for Water Education of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO-IHE) launched an Open Courseware platform during Open Education Week, to host freely-accessible course materials.

Currently hosting three courses – Hydrology and Hydraulics, Urban Drainage and Sewerage, and Ecological Sanitation – the Institute aims to present all of its courses on the Open Courseware platform by 2017. The courses’ supporting materials include course and unit plans, video lectures, lecture notes, Power Point slides, and suggested reading.
