© UNESCO September 2009: The Executive Board of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is convening its 182nd session from 7-23 September 2009.

Among 60 agenda items, the Board will discuss the ethical implications of climate change with a view to exploring the desirability of preparing a draft universal declaration of ethical principles in relation to climate change.
In addition, it will review a report on the Open Forum on UNESCO’s action to address climate change, NGO participation and civic engagement, and analyze progress made and results achieved in the implementation of the UNESCO strategy for action on climate change and its enhanced plan of action. The outcome of the Executive Board’s meeting will be presented at the 35th session of UNESCO General Conference scheduled on 6-23 October 2009. [ UNESCO meeting agenda ]
