UNEP OzonAction Releases Report on Climate Protection through HCFC Phase-Out

The 2011 OzonAction Special Issue titled "Tipping the Balance towards Climate Protection through the Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) Phase-Out" includes articles from expert practitioners, policy makers and project staff on climate friendly HCFC phase-out.

Ozonaction Special Issue 201114 November 2011: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Division of Technology Industry and Economics, OzonAction Branch, has released the 2011 OzonAction Special Issue titled “Tipping the Balance towards Climate Protection through the Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) Phase-Out.” The publication aims to inspire further actions to protect the ozone layer and climate system, as well as contribute to promoting green energy initiatives.

The Special Issue includes articles from expert practitioners, policy makers and project staff on climate friendly HCFC phase-out. It addresses, inter alia: HCFC phase-out and energy efficiency; the contributions of the Montreal Protocol to reaching the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); illegal HCFC trade, refrigeration equipments; HCFC phase-out in Australia; and prior informed consent.
