13 August 2010: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Climate Neutral Network hosted a one-day visit from the Greek conservation group, Green Project, on 13 August 2010, in Nairobi, Kenya.

The team of nine scientists and artists from the Green Project organization is travelling in a three-vehicle convoy across the African continent, visiting biodiversity and renewable energy projects under the theme “from waterways to energy routes.”

The purpose of the 47-day trip is to record traditional and modern applications of renewable energy resources across Africa. In order to offset their emissions, Green Project will invest in clean development projects in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. [UNEP Press Release]
