March 2010: The Asia Pacific Regional Human Development Network (AP-HDNet) of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) is holding an e-discussion on human development and climate change. The e-Discussion will contribute to the forthcoming Asia-Pacific Human Development Report by posing key questions from a human development stand-point.
The forum aims to: outline possible ideas and vision for a carbon free society in the region; identify real-life examples of the impacts of climate change; distinguish the reasons why the debate so polarized; identify those who are the most affected and how are they coping; and highlight experiences on the ground that have policy implications for responding to climate change.[e-Discussion Webpage]
