The Global Mechanism of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) has launched a Finance Info Kit, which aims to provide insights into public institutions and funds as well as foundations and private sector initiatives investing in sustainable land management (SLM).
15 March 2012: The Global Mechanism of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) has launched a Finance Info Kit, which seeks to deliver up-to-date information about financing sources, mechanisms and funds relevant for sustainable land management (SLM) and tips on how to access them.
The Finance Info Kit aims to provide insights into public institutions and funds as well as foundations and private sector initiatives investing in SLM. The kit supports country Parties of the UNCCD, as well as civil society organizations and other partners that are engaged in promoting SLM.
The Finance Info Kit will be linked to the Knowledge Management Programme of the Global Mechanism, which provides for South-South cooperation and knowledge exchange initiatives, such as “Designing Integrated Financing Strategies (DIFS).” [Global Mechanism Finance Info Kit]
