Unhabitat19 June 2014: UN-Habitat and the Government of Myanmar have signed an agreement for the implementation of a Land Administration and Management Program (LAMP) through September 2015.

The agreement will strengthen the existing land administration and management system in Myanmar, particularly around updating existing land records, providing training materials to government staff, upgrading the Central Land Records Development Training Center and operationalizing two township-level offices of the Settlement and Land Records Department. The work builds on UN-Habitat’s long history of work in Myanmar over the past thirty years, including investments following Cyclone Nargis in 2008.
