Tunisia, Switzerland Exchange Training on Wetland Center Management

The Ramsar Secretariat has reported on the visit of Ouassila Berrebib, who works at El-Kala National Park, a Wetland of International Importance in Algeria, to Champ-Pittet in Switzerland, to share knowledge on wetland centre management.

Ouassila's capacity building experience addressed: tools needed to run an education centre; exchange on activities organised at El-Kala; conservation policies in place to protect cultural and natural heritage; and awareness activities.

4 April 2012: The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Convention) has reported on the visit of Ouassila Berrebib, who works at El-Kala National Park, a Wetland of International Importance in Algeria, to Champ-Pittet in Switzerland, to share knowledge on wetland centre management.

Following her five-week stay to share knowledge on wetland centre management at the Champ-Pittet centre at the Lake Neuchâtel Ramsar Site in Switzerland, Ouassila visited staff at the Ramsar Convention Secretariat. She explained that her capacity building experience addressed: tools needed to run an education centre; exchange on activities organised at El-Kala; conservation policies in place to protect cultural and natural heritage; and awareness activities, including World Wetland Day events.
