Participants focused on enhancing the strategic capacity of developing countries in research and technology development, and sought to develop inter-regional partnerships. Among the partnerships presented was the Programme for South-South Cooperation on Sustainable Development (PSC) among Benin, Bhutan and Costa Rica, which aims to facilitate the sharing of low-cost renewable technologies between the three countries involved to promote increased agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability.
