The States parties to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) held their 19th meeting from 22-26 June 2009, in New York, US.

The meeting focused on budgetary and administrative questions, inter alia, on: the workload facing the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf (CLCS) as it continues to examine submissions by coastal States for the delineation of the continental shelf; the allocation of seats on the Commission and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea; and budgetary matters of the Tribunal, including adjustment of the remuneration of members of the Tribunal.
