16 November 2017: The UN Global Compact, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) announced an expansion of their inventory of SDG measurement tools for businesses. The organizations invite submissions of tools to be added to the inventory.

The inventory is part of the SDG Compass, launched in September 2015. It lets companies explore tools and resources to understand the degree to which they are contributing to specific or multiple SDGs. As of 16 November, the inventory contains 58 tools, most of which are available free of charge. The tools can be filtered by SDG or by tool developer, and searched by keyword. SDGs 6 (clean water and sanitation) and 15 (life on land) have the greatest number of relevant tools.

The inventory is meant to be continually updated, and submissions are invited of additional tools not currently included in the inventory, as well as updated versions of existing tools. [WBCSD News] [GRI Press Release] [SDG Knowledge Hub Story on Launch of SDG Compass]
