SAICM QSP Invites Applications on Non-chemical Alternatives

The Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) has announced that the 14th round of the SAICM Quick Start Programme (QSP) is now open for projects dedicated to promoting non-chemical alternatives.

With this round funded by the Government of France, applications to the QSP Trust Fund will be accepted until 15 September 2014.

SAICM15 May 2014: The Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) has announced that the 14th round of the SAICM Quick Start Programme (QSP) is now open for projects dedicated to promoting non-chemical alternatives. This round is funded by the Government of France, and applications to the QSP Trust Fund will be accepted until 15 September 2014.

SAICM has issued a guidance document on non-chemical alternatives, and applicants are asked to consider how their proposed activities will integrate mainstreaming activities. According to SAICM, submitted applications will be first be appraised by the Secretariat, and then by the QSP Trust Fund Implementation Committee in October 2014. [Applications Webpage]
