Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum Launches Bulletin

The "Rio Bulletin" is a new publication providing updates on the Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum.

The first issue highlights, among other issues, the confirmed sessions at the Forum and the UN Global Compact's call for commitments to actions and partnerships that advance progress along the six themes of the Forum.

3 April 2012: The UN Global Compact launched a publication titled “Rio Bulletin,” providing updates on the UN Conference for Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) Corporate Sustainability Forum, including its programme and partners, as well as related opportunities and logistics. The Forum will take place from 15-18 June 2012, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, preceding the UNCSD.

The first issue of “Rio Bulletin” highlights: the release of the zero draft of the UNCSD Outcome Document; the launch of the Sustainia Award and the call for the top 100 solutions for a desirable and realistic sustainable society, which will be delivered to decision-makers during Rio+20 to inspire discussions; the list of confirmed sessions at the Forum; and the UN Global Compact’s call for commitments to actions and partnerships that advance progress along the six themes of the Corporate Sustainability Forum.

The themes of the Forum are: social development, energy and climate, water and ecosystems, agriculture and food, urbanization and cities, and economics and finance of sustainable development. [Publication: Rio Bulletin one]
