The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the government of the Republic of Korea have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop capacity in fisheries and aquaculture and to promote compliance with the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries.
31 January 2014: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the Government of the Republic of Korea have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop capacity in fisheries and aquaculture and to promote compliance with the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries.
The Republic of Korea will finance a new trust fund at FAO, which will include major investments in education and training to build expertise in international fisheries policy development. The work will support a variety of countries in policy, governance and management issues. [FAO Press Release]
