Proposed Agenda and Annotations for CDM EB-58 Released

The 58th meeting of the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is scheduled to take place from 22-26 November 2010, in Cancun, Mexico.

8 November 2010: The proposed agenda and annotations, together with the draft work programme, for the 58th meeting of the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) are now available on the CDM website.

At the meeting, which will convene from 22-26 November 2010, in Cancun, Mexico, the Board will discuss matters relating to the operation of the CDM, including: the accreditation of operational entities; methodologies for baselines and monitoring plans; CDM afforestation and reforestation project activities; small-scale CDM project activities; the CDM programme of activities; the registration of CDM project activities; the issuance of certified emission reductions (CERs) and the CDM registry; and the CDM management plan and resources for the work on the CDM. The Board will also consider other relevant matters such as: the setting of tentative strategic priorities for 2011; and relations with Designated National Authorities (DNAs), Designated Operational and Applicant Entities, and stakeholders, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Representatives from parties and UNFCCC admitted observer organizations are able to attend CDM EB meetings as observers. A live and on-demand Internet webcast of the proceedings will also be available. The various annexes to be considered by the Board at the meeting are also available on the website.
