iges-post201525 July 2014: The Project on Sustainability Transformation beyond 2015 (POST2015 project) has established a database on goals and indicators for sustainable development, to support the work of policy makers and scholars engaging in the SDGs process. It includes goals and targets proposed in existing literature, such as policy briefs and academic papers.

In the section for decision-makers, the database classifies quantitative targets into 17 fields corresponding with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the UN Open Working Group (OWG).

In the section for scholars, the database classifies both quantitative and qualitative targets into 34 fields, based on discussion themes from an early stage of the OWG process.

The POST2015 Project – which is funded by Japan’s Ministry of Environment – expects to update the SDGs Database continuously to reflect new UN documents, academic papers, and other SDG-related materials. [SDGs Database]
