Post-2015 Water Sub-Consultations Launched

UN-Water, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) are co-leading the water sub-consultations that are part of the UN-system wide dialogue on the post-2015 development agenda, The World We Want.

The sub-consultations will address four themes: water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); water resources management; wastewater and water quality; and voices.

The World We Want 201514 January 2013: UN-Water has highlighted the launch of the sub-consultations component of the post-2015 thematic consultation on water, which is part of the broader UN-system wide dialogue on the post-2015 development agenda.

The sub-consultations, scheduled to take place between January and February 2013, are designed to engage stakeholders across four themes: water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); water resources management; wastewater and water quality; and voices. Participants are encouraged to participate through the Twitter account @waterpost2015 and using the hashtag #waterpost2015, as well as through the associated Facebook account.

Participants can engage through the web platform by registering and commenting, watching water-related YouTube videos, engaging with water discussion questions of the week, and answering weekly poll and quiz questions. The consultation is co-led by UN-Water, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
