PGA Transmits Report of OWG to Member States

The President of the General Assembly (PGA) transmitted Member States a letter by the Co-Chairs of the Open Working Group (OWG) on Sustainable Goals (SDGs), Csaba Kőrösi, Permanent Representative of Hungary, and Macharia Kamau, Permanent Representative of Kenya, containing the report of the OWG to the General Assembly (GA).

The report comprises the proposal of the SDGs, and a record of the proceedings of the OWG at its first to thirteenth sessions.

UNGA4 August 2014: The President of the General Assembly (PGA) has transmitted to Member States a letter by the Co-Chairs of the Open Working Group (OWG) on Sustainable Goals (SDGs), Csaba Kőrösi, Permanent Representative of Hungary, and Macharia Kamau, Permanent Representative of Kenya, containing the report of the OWG to the General Assembly (GA).

The report comprises the proposal of the SDGs and a record of the proceedings of the OWG throughout its thirteen sessions, including reference to the statements made at its closing meeting on 19 July and those subsequently submitted in writing.

The letter and enclosures will be submitted as an official document of the GA at its 68th session. As recommended by the Co-Chairs, and with the consent of the membership, the PGA intends to propose that the GA decide to transmit the consideration of the document, which contains the proposals of the OWG, to the upcoming 69th session of the GA.
