4 March 2010: The 19 members of the High-Level Advisory Group on Climate Change Financing, which was set up by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in February 2010, have been announced.

The High-Level Advisory Group will be headed by the Prime Ministers of the UK and Ethiopia, Gordon Brown and Meles Zenawi, respectively. They will be joined by two other Heads of State or Government: President Bharrat Jagdeo of Guyana and Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg of Norway. Additional members will include philanthropist George Soros, British academic Nicholas Stern, and high-level officials from government ministries, including Mexican Finance Minister Ernesto Cordero Arroyo, as well as representatives of central banks, such as Jean-Pierre Landau, the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of France.
The Advisory Group is scheduled to hold its first meeting on 29 March 2010, in London, UK, and is expected to submit its final report to Ban before the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Mexico at the end of 2010.
