(ITU) has announced its Global Standards Symposium (GSS) will convene 20
October 2008, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Symposium is designed to focus
on key information and communication technology (ICT) standardization
challenges, such as accessibility and climate change. The GSS will provide a
report to the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly, which is to be
held immediately afterwards, from 21-30 October 2008, also in Johannesburg. [ITU
