28 June 2012: The International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) has released a report titled “Industrialization, Marketing, and Sustainable Management of Ten Mexican Native Species.” The report addresses the species’ silvicultural management and productivity, physical-mechanical properties, potential market niches and product design. It also diagnoses first- and second-stage processing timber industries in southeastern Mexico.
The report also contains a booklet outlining the properties of the timber species.
