September 2015: Belgium, Croatia and Thailand have recently ratified the International Tropical Timber Agreement, 2006, bringing the number of Parties to 72.
Croatia ratified ITTA, 2006 on 28 April 2015; Belgium on 28 July; and Thailand on 1 September 2015.
ITTA, 2006, the international treaty under which the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) operates, is focused on ensuring the sustainable management of tropical timber. It entered into force on 7 December 2011.
The 51st Session of the International Tropical Timber Council (ITTC) will convene from 16-21 November 2015, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. [ITTA, 2006 Parties] [ITTO Website]
