15 May 2008: On the occasion of the second International Disaster Reduction Conference, to be held in Davos, Switzerland, from 25-29 August 2008, the UN/ISDR Secretariat will release the 2008 Virtual Disaster Reduction Library II.

This second Virtual Library will consist of 3 DVDs containing a selection of the most relevant/recent publications, technical documents and public information (including fact sheets, videos and games) on disaster risk reduction (DRR) and related issues.
The first Virtual Library, the DRR 1994-2004, was issued in Kobe in 2005. The UN/ISDR invites contributions to this project, including educational materials and multimedia products and analytical papers.
