January 2009: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is co-organizing the international workshop “Future Climate Change Response Research: Learning from IPCC’s Fourth Assessment,” which will be held from 21-23 January 2009, at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The event is organized jointly with the Earth System Science Partnership (ESSP).
The workshop will seek to articulate major research questions on the basis of the IPCC reports, recent societal and environmental trends, and latest scientific insights in order to guide future research strategies of the ESSP and its research programmes. [IPCC Website]
