IPCC Bureau Discusses Ongoing Activities

18 April 2010: The Bureau of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) held its 43th session at the headquarters of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), in Geneva, Switzerland, from 18-19 April 2011.

General issues related to the functioning of the IPCC and ongoing activities were discussed. At the opening session of the meeting, Michel Jarraud, WMO Secretary-General, highlighted the continued support of the WMO for the IPCC. He underscored the importance of the 2011 Special Report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation, and the IPCC Scholarship Programme.
