The February issue of IOSEA E-News, issued by the Indian Ocean – South-East Asian Marine Turtle Memorandum of Understanding (IOSEA), features an article on estimating turtle bycatch in the tuna longline fishery in Indian waters, in addition to selected stories from the IOSEA website.

February 2011: The Indian Ocean–South-East Asian Marine Turtle Memorandum of Understanding (IOSEA), an agreement concluded under the auspices of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS), has circulated its e-newsletter for February 2011.

The February issue of “IOSEA e-News” includes selected stories featured on the IOSEA website, including on conservation of green turtles at Daran Beach, Jiwani, Pakistan, and an NGO-developed publication, titled “A Compendium of Conservation and Management Measures to address the impacts of species bycatch in tuna RFMOs”.

The newsletter also features an article on estimating turtle bycatch in the tuna longline fishery in Indian waters. [Publication: IOSEA e-News]
